A Campaign to Expose Global Organ Trafficking and Empower Communities to Act

TOPEKA, KS — The End Forced Organ Harvesting Rotary Satellite Club (EFOH-RSC) launched a powerful new educational storyboard campaign designed to shine a light on the global crises of forced organ harvesting, organ trafficking and organ tourism. The exhibit will be displayed at the Kansas State Capitol, 1st Floor Rotunda, April 6-10, 2026, offering lawmakers and the public a deep dive into a hidden form of human exploitation.

The illegal organ trade targets the most vulnerable—including the poor, displaced, dissidents and prisoners of conscience. These individuals are often coerced or deceived into procedures that lead to the removal of their organs for profit, frequently resulting in the death of the donor.

“This is a global crisis that remains poorly understood by the public,” said Yvette Scarlett, Chair-Elect of EFOH-RSC. “Because it operates in the shadows, myths and misinformation are common. Our mission is to provide clear, compassionate tools that spark awareness and prevent people from unintentionally becoming accomplices to these crimes.”

The storyboard campaign includes survivor-inspired narratives to illustrate the human cost of these networks. A key focus of the exhibit is educating the public on how unintentional complicity occurs, such as:

Organ Tourism: Seeking cheaper medical procedures abroad without verifying the ethical source of the organs.

Unethical Systems: Participating in medical environments that overlook transparent donation practices.

Silence: Failing to recognize or report signs of exploitation within community or medical circles.

During the exhibit at the Kansas State Capitol, the display will be accompanied by a table manned by Rotarians. Members will be available to address questions and distribute educational resources.

“By teaching communities how to recognize these risks, we aren’t just spreading awareness—we are empowering individuals to make ethical choices that save lives,” Yvette Scarlett added.

The EFOH-RSC is dedicated to engaging Rotarians and communities to help eradicate forced organ harvesting and protect the dignity of all human beings.
